TSX Technology Investor Days Promote Vibrant Sector
Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), in partnership with the CVCA, recently hosted a three-city series of TSX Technology Investor Days – half-day showcases of the newest and next wave of Canadian technology companies. Supported by NATIONAL Equicom, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, PwC Canada and CIBC, the events were held in Vancouver, Toronto and New York to give both private and public companies an opportunity to pitch their business to investors and capital markets professionals from Canada and across North America. More than 300 participants attended the three events.

As at May 31, 2016, more than 180 technology are listed on the Exchanges, at all stages of development, and 29 tech companies have gone public on TSX and TSXV since the start of 2014. The tech sector now accounts for $80.5 billion total market capitalization.
As evidenced by the attendance figures for these events and the technology sector's recent surge in performance, Canada's innovation economy represents a powerful and compelling growth opportunity for investors.
