Venture Outside the Ordinary
At TMX, we move opportunity into action, advance global economic growth, and propel progress. Through a rich exchange of ideas, meaningful collaboration, and a nimble operating model, we're powering some of the nation's most critical systems, fuelling capital formation and innovation, bringing increased opportunity to business visionaries, product ingenuity to consumers, and career exploration to our team.
Life at TMX is about developing talents, connecting cross-functionally, as well as traversing industries and geographies. Here, we're in the market for deeper relationships rooted in trust and empathy. Here, we crave growth in ourselves and for our business. Here, we balance governance with agility and are empowered by our size and structure. Here, a life rich in experiences inside and outside of work is supported and respected. Here, we venture outside the ordinary to reach our full potential as people and as a business. Together, we make markets and each other better.

Make an Impact
Together, we believe we can make our communities better and make an Impact. To help foster a culture of giving:
- Employees determine which causes we support - currently we're focused on Community & Social Welfare - and there's an employee committee empowered to choose where the money goes and organize volunteering activities.
- Everyone gets two paid days off per year to volunteer.
- TMX will match employee donations up to $200/year.
ED&I
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) is a priority for TMX Group. We are committed to leading by example by fostering a fair, diverse and inclusive culture of belonging that results in positive change for the people, communities and markets we serve. To fully embrace this, we'll continue to work together on taking action to strengthen behaviours, processes and systems.
Our ED&I strategy focuses on three key areas, including: inclusive practices; workforce representation; and client, market and community impact.
What does our strategy look like in action? Here are some recent initiatives that have made an impact:
- We engaged employee-led ED&I council, comprised of TMX employees across the globe spanning different levels and functions.
- We celebrated a wide range of important events and holidays, including Black History Month, International Women’s Day, Summer of Pride, National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, among others. We welcome guest speakers for educational sessions and also celebrate through social events.
- TMX is a Silver parity-certified organization through Women in Governance, committed to the advancement of gender parity in the workplace.
- TMX is a PAR Committed organization as recognized by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). We have an employee led working group in place to advance our indigenous reconciliation initiatives.
